I Wrote A Book- Introducing ‘The Devil’s In The Draught Lines: 1000 Years of Women in Britain’s Beer History’

Hi Friends,

I know I have been very quiet on the blog lately, that is because I have been busy writing a book, well two books to be specific, but let me not get ahead of myself. I have been working on The Devil’s In the Draught Lines: 1000 Years of Women in Britain’s Beer History with CAMRA Books for the past few years and I am delighted that it is finally ready for publication. It will be published on March 7th, but is available for pre-order now on the CAMRA website. And for those outside of UK/EU, not to worry, we are working on that as well. But let’s introduce the book a bit first, from CAMRA:

‘CAMRA’s exciting new book The Devil’s in the Draught Lines: 1000 Years of Women in Britain’s Beer History by Dr Christina Wade is a ground-breaking publication which charts the rise and fall – and rise again – of women in Britain’s brewing trade. Meticulously researched, it chronicles and explains the real reasons why women brewers became marginalised, while also debunking some tired old myths along the way.

The publication features interviews with some of the most influential women working in the contemporary beer industry. From award-winning beer writers and educators such as Laura Hadland, Ruvani de Silva, Natalya Watson and Jane Peyton, to brewers and pub owners including Lucy and Lizzie Stevens of Closet Brewing and Helena Adedipe of Eko Brewery, the book offers some incredible insights into the beer world and its history.’

You can learn more about it here.

I really hope you like it!

Thank you so much for the referral. Looking very much forward to reading your book! I’ll forward this link to my homebrewers club. I’m sure there will be a few interested parties there as well.
